He is a highly skilled neutral facilitator and helps driven business leaders talk through their thinking in a way that connects dots across various systems.

As an entrepreneur, Barend built CoLAB from start-up to a successful project implementation business, which he founded in 2008 and manages as CEO .

He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, Project Management Professional (PMI PMP®) and has completed the ScalingUp Master Class.

His vast business experience includes Auditing, Financial Management, IT Management, Strategic Planning, Business Consulting, Project Portfolio Management, Project & Programme Management, Neutral Facilitation and Business Model Development in wide-ranging industries, from Banking and Financial Services, Manufacturing, Mining and Resources, Information Technology, Healthcare to SMME

Chief Financial Officer

Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and running her own audit practice, Susan has spent a decade crunching numbers in the CoLAB team. A passionately creative thinker, Susan takes a uniquely people-centred approach to solving business challenges.

With her keen business insights and ability to effectively simplify processes, Susan works closely with the team, contributing to the success of each CoLAB engagement.

KARABO MOLOKO

Non-Executive Director

Karabo has a knack for understanding and solving complex business problems. She has a proven track record in driving business strategy, business and people transformation initiatives as well as delivering holistic business solutions.

Her wealth of experience spans across a wide variety of industries such as mining, petrochemical, FMCG and finance. She has a BCom degree from UCT and attended Executive Programmes from Insead and Oxford University, majoring in topics such as Digitisation and Business Global Competitiveness.
